Tales of the Adventure
Prayer to the God of Light, upon defeat of the ogre and recovery of the bodies.
(Please note, Carlist’s stutter has been removed for clarity)
The most benevolent god of light, hear my call!!
I stand before the remains of several souls who passed on horribly. As to your teachings, I have prepared these bodies to be received by an ordained follower of you. I shall return find the soul’s families and return the bodies to them, if I am unable to, I shall take them to the nearest temple of light. I pray that these souls can reach your domain.
I thank you for the strength you gave me in battle today. I was able to assist a young (yet reckless) mage named Arthur in completing his task, while assisting a wounded smith and a skilled swordsman in defeating a vile creature of The Darkness. I envy the swordsman’s skill, and wish to learn the art of defense with him, as your teachings have always taught us the necessity of defending ourselves.
The god’s of old from which you originated appear to be losing their power. Today I witnessed a devout follower of them succumb to fear. This further solidifies my belief that you will be the guiding light for the whole world to follow.
A heathen challenged my acts of charity. He accused me of theft, simply because the vow of poverty that the most devout of your followers adhere to require us to perform trade in charitable acts. I know for this naïve nobleman to be misguided, but I do not know how to convince him.
Blessings to the Light, may it forever lead me from the darkness.
