Aeryn was born of the minor noble house of Trebond. She always had a lot of fight in her so she decided that instead of going off to seminary school, as her family hoped, she wanted to become a knight. Her uncle sir Aeryk, always fond of her feisty attitude, helped her secure a position at the castle where he is a member of the guard. She made it to squire in her training before she was found out. The court was unsure how to handle the situation and before they could act Aeryn ran away into the forest. Her family has disowned her and she made quite the stir in court, her uncle Aeryk goes along with this to save face but secretly helps her when he can. He introduced her to the eccentric hermit ranger, Tavaris, who lives in the woods adjacent to the castle. Tavaris took a liking to Aeryn and taught her what he could. Aeryn’s curiosity, however, has now gotten the better of her and she has gone off into the world to seek out adventure and learn as much as she can about the world.
